Integrated LV distribution and metering panel

Compact prefabricated base and enclosure

Core Design Features

Environmental Adaptability

Climate Protection: All equipment with C4-M corrosion protection rating, suitable for tropical savanna climate (high temperature, high humidity, strong UV).

Anti-Theft Design: Transformers equipped with welded anti-theft locks; substation enclosures use tamper-proof bolts and alarm sensors.

Animal Protection: Sealed cable entry/exit ports to prevent ingress of snakes, rodents, etc.

Technical Advantages

Low Losses: Transformers meet IE3 efficiency class, with no-load losses 25% lower than current Angolan standards.

Smart Features: Compact substations pre-equipped with DTU for remote monitoring of voltage, current, power factor, oil temperature, etc.

Modularity: Substations are 85% factory-assembled, reducing on-site installation time by 60%.

Local Compliance

Compliant with Angolan Technical Standards (Normas Técnicas Angolanas) and Portuguese language labeling requirements.

LV side configuration compatible with the locally common IT earthing system.

Provision of Portuguese installation manuals, training materials, and local spare parts lists.

Project Execution

Phased Delivery

Phase 1: 30 kV Transformers (44 units) & 15 kV Transformers (16 units) – Delivery in Q4 2024.

Phase 2: 30 kV Compact Substations (16 sets) – Delivery in Q4 2025.

Phase 3: 15 kV Compact Substations (14 sets) – Delivery in Q4 2025.

Local Collaboration

Joint site civil works guidance with Electrical Construction & Projects Co..

Batch-wise operation and maintenance training for ENDE technicians.

Establishment of a Luanda-based emergency spare parts depot to support post-project O&M.

Expected Outcomes

Urban Areas (using 630 kVA Substations)

Provide 16 new power supply nodes for 2 provincial urban load centers.

Expected reduction of unplanned outage time by 35%.

Power factor improved to above 0.95 through capacitor compensation.

Rural Areas (using 250 kVA Transformers)

Provide first-time grid connection for 60 rural communities.

Extend electricity coverage to over 15,000 households.

Voltage compliance rate at the end of 30 kV lines to increase from 70% to 92%.

Client Benefits

For the EPC Contractor Electrical Construction & Projects Co.:

Obtains a complete technical solution and one-stop equipment supply, simplifying procurement.

Modular equipment design significantly reduces on-site installation time.

Professional technical support enhances project delivery quality and client satisfaction.

For the End User ENDE:
